Wyatt brought a new friend home from the pound today. He first met her yesterday, and she decided she liked him.
The little dog is five months old, and new to our little group. She loves to fetch and seems highly trainable.
She had to wait to be spayed, so Wyatt got to go pick her up this afternoon. She remembered him on sight, her tail got going immediately!
She was groggy, so he carried her away to the car.
She claimed him, crawled in his lap, and says he is hers!
Bailey gave her approval, too.
Vegas isn't too sure yet. He is claiming his Bailey, and watching the new little one closely. The new puppy keeps kissing Vegas, and trying to cuddle up to him when she can.
Only time will tell, but as they say with rescue dogs, she likes the crazy place she came to, and adores Wyatt. I think she knows how good she has it. Old man Vegas came from the Humane Society thirteen years ago. I think he remembers, too. I believe this new friend will settle in fine, and we will get to training right away!
