Goats' Milk Soap in the Making...

I was a little late in getting this going, around all of the weather.  This batch of soap got to the front of the line of the soaps I needed to restock for inventory because Kate S, one of the winners from the little chicken contest selected Goats' Milk Vanilla Soap for her prize!  It was on the list anyway, but this got it to the fron of the list!
The photo above is all of the oils that cleanse, moisturize and nourish in our soap.  Yes, that is a stick blender waiting for the next phase to be added!

This is the goat milk I used in the batch.  It looks frothy because it is kept in the freezer.  Also, beginning with it cool like that reduces the likelihood of it scalding in the next process.

After all of the phases were blended thoroughly, it reached trace and the essential oil was added, I ladled it into molds.  This is a paw print!

See how this one is almost clear inside and almost glows?  This photo was this morning, it is still warm inside!

Well, the soap takes up to two weeks to cure.  With this weather, it may likely take the full two weeks.  Hmmm... what batch should be next?  The suggested scents are the BEST!

Until then, I think Lilac, then Coco Mango, well, maybe anyway!

Oh, just a reminder.  For those of you who usually pick up from me at farmers' markets or the like, you are welcome to reserve bars of certain scents, and they can go quickly, and sometimes the heat leads me to leave coordinating lotions behind.  (These can be brought along anytime by request.)

  1. Goats Milk soap has had quite a bit of television exposure on Channel 7's 'Today Tonight' and Channel 9's 'A Current Affair' for its great benefits to people who have any skin conditions as the natural components in the Goat's Milk have many positive benefits and may not only help but also improve the skin condition.
