Finally- a little time at home...

We haven't been home in the daylight since some time last week.  But today, the kids had a half day, so we stopped by Aunt Leanna's for a little bit, then worked our way home. I got a little done in the greenhouse and the compost bins, Bailey worked in the maternity ward for a bit, then on her English final.  The English final is frustrating her, since another girl lost her personal copy of the book she is writing on ( we know Bailey loves her quotes and citations).  But she is working her way through it.  Wyatt worked on some chores he was owing me, and cleaned some waters just before dark.

Charlie made it home, and piled up with Wyatt on the sofa while I worked on sewing repairs.  I think I actually may have created a workable fix on his shorts, though my pants are more noticeable on the repair there.  Wyatt was itching to watch the new movie Grandma and Grandpa sent, Santa Paws.  So in it went...

I wasn't long before we were hooked on the sweet story about believing in Christmas and true friendship.  Sappy, sure.  Our kind of tale.  Remington came inside, and Hopper had taken over all the dog beds which were still stacked from the day.  Vegas took the rug, Remi cuddled up to the vest Wyatt over his long shirts this week.  The way she hid her nose was just too cute not to share.

After the moovie, Wyatt managed to get Hopper off the pile of beds and laid them out for the dogs.  Hopper took her spot on one bed, but Veggie stayed on the rug.  He is still there now, but once I go to bed I imagine he will sneak into more comfortable territory.

We sure needed the time at home, even if it was only a few hours of daylight and family time.  The commute can be exhausting, but it always helps to reconnect as a family and begin to get your feet under you.
Anyhow, I just got Bailey's hair into curlers for tomorros musical theater presentation.  (Schoolhouse Rock, we would love to see you there!)  So it must be bedtime.  Hope you like the silly pictures, and have a wonderful first weekend in December.  Hugs to everyone!
